The style and layout of the millions of sites on the Internet is all down to website design. Many sites made by the same company normally use a base template that they use as the background and layout of the site, and then whoever uses the site decides what colours to have the differentcolumns, and background, although on some the background colour stays the same as the template. You can get the software two different ways and these are either downloading it off of the maker of the software's website, or buying it in your local computer shop. Dozens of good anti-virus programmesexistbut what ever one you get is down to your ownpreference, but itdoesn'treally matter what one you get as they all do the same job, keeping the pesky virus' out, and the do a really good job too.

At thebeginningwhen companies first started to advertise their product or products they would put a small advert in papers or in magazines that would go on sale everywhere in the hope that people would use them and visit their shop, or use the product that is being advertised. Adverts were also displayed on bigbillboardsnormally found on the walls of buildings or at train stations. Adverts were also very common on radio stations every where. Later on when motor transport became more and more commonadvertisementswere placed on buses and placed on cars that were taking part in motor sports races. Todayadvertisementsrule our world. You cannot turn without seeing anadvertisementand a very bigpieceof technology which plays a massive part in advertising is the Internet, specifically advertising on-line asit isguaranteedthat while you are surfing the Internet almost every web site you go on will have some sort ofadvertisementon it. Some of these adverts pop-up at you on the screen where as the other, more cunning ones are blended into the web page design but still have the ability to attract your attention. It is very clever how a certain web page design will have their adverts placed in specifically programmed places. It's amazing and abrilliantthing as they give the option of clicking on the adverts only if you want to, rather than thempoppingup at you and giving you no choice in looking at them or not. The web page design of the pop-upadvertisementsare quite clever too, as some will redirect you to the site hosting the product they are advertising even if you click the red X to get rid of the pop-up. It's a very clever bit of programming and a bit cheeky too as it getsguaranteedtraffic to their site and if ensures that almost everyone who visits the site containing the pop-up will be redirected to their site, even only for a fewminutesor seconds. I suppose you could say that web page design is the center of onlineadvertisementsas without thewebpages and the people who design them wewouldn'thave such things. Some of the adverts canunfortunatelybe annoying but that is only a very small few. Most of the adverts on sites are very nice and I have bought a few things because of the adverts I saw online as without them Iwouldn'thave seen what I had bought. If adverts are this advanced now, think how advanced they will be in 10 or even 20 years time. It's veryinterestingto think about.

If it's your first website that you are making then have a think about what you want the web site to be about, and choose wisely. You will get a lot of visitors to your site if it is about just the one topic rather than a few topics all on the one site, however if your site is aboutseveraldifferent topics then you could gain lots more visitors by making content related to the topics and hosting them for download on your site. The content could be anything from a podcast to let all your visitors know about the latest happenings on the site and what's coming up, or a new desktop background picture so people can decorate their desktops with a picture related to your site. On top of all this, good web designers know their budgets and can work to them. All too often new web designers starts up a new site but don't take into account the budget. You need to think about how much the host servers will cost, and how many visitors you will get to your site, and most of all if it is worth it. Don't go into it half-hearted, give it your absolute all, and if the web site is about a topic you enjoy then itshouldn'tbe much of a problem getting the motivation to do it and see it through. If you are having trouble with the site, like getting differentprogramsto work and such things, then a good idea is to get in contact with a group of web designers as they will be more than happy to give you help with what you are having trouble with, and advice about your web site. You will also make some very good friends who are into the same kind of things that you are. If your site is verypopularthen you could install a chat room on it so people can gather there and talk about the site and the topic that the site is about. You will also make some good friends that way and if the room is asuccess, you could hold meetings in it at scheduled times, kind of like a bored meeting which would be very good for a laugh and some jokes with the friend that you make from the site.
