I have finally resigned from my tedious job in one of the five star hotels in the city. I changed my job from a hotelier to a website designer, dealing mostly in website designing, advertising on-line, getting the best internet provider and checking my email inbox for any new businesses.

It was not because I disliked the nature of my previous job that I have been doing for more than ten years, but I had enough of the office politics and the attitude of some workers who were trying to be smart when they were not. It was not only the head of departments who have not acquired the experiences and skills in their areas, but also some of the normal staff. Their weaknesses have contributed in the lacking of customer services and efficiencies.

What annoyed my colleague and I was they would ask us about the tasks they were specialized in. For example, we did not touch the cashiering procedure, but they went and asked us how to do it where in fact they were supposed to know better. We only have the basic knowledge about it whereas they have proper theory and practical training.

Thus, when I resigned, I did not look back nor regretted it even once. I know there were other job opportunities out there and I landed on another job that I am best at, creative designing and advertising. As mentioned before, besides, designing new websites, I do advertising on-line as well. So, for the first few weeks, I only did some advertising on-line before I had the chance in showing my creativity in website designs.

Basically, a client will send me an email of what his or her company requires. So, my day-to-day job includes ensuring not to miss any email otherwise I might lose a potential client. As I am in-charge of the overseas market, I will make sure that the internet works well every time so, my company did not only subscribe to random internet provider. I must say that I was impressed on how they took care of every detail especially in getting the best internet provider for speedy actions.
